Our scope
MetroPD.org publishes evergreen procedure guides and directories. We avoid live crime news, allegations against named individuals, scanner transcription and information that could interfere with emergency response or investigations.
Source hierarchy
We prioritize official city, county, state and federal agencies, followed by established public or nonprofit services. Changing instructions remain at the primary source rather than being presented here as permanent.
Original writing
Our explanations are written for MetroPD.org. We do not copy articles, department descriptions, photographs or creative material from other publishers. Facts from public records are summarized in original language.
Corrections and review dates
City pages display review dates. Credible correction reports are checked against primary sources, and substantiated errors or obsolete links are updated. Send corrections to info@washingtontribune.com.
Advertising independence
Advertisers do not control city listings, official links, safety guidance or corrections. Paid placements are labeled and visually separated from editorial resources.
Safety principle
When information could be time-sensitive or personal, we direct the reader to 911 or the responsible agency rather than attempting to provide individualized instructions.
