ABOUT METROPD.ORG

Independent guidance to official resources.

MetroPD.org helps people find the correct public-safety agency and prepare before contacting it.

Our mission

Public-safety information is spread across city, county, state and federal websites. MetroPD.org organizes direct links and original explanations so visitors can identify the responsible authority, understand common procedures and avoid sending sensitive information to the wrong place.

What we publish

We maintain city directories and evergreen guides concerning emergency and non-emergency contacts, police reports, public records, traffic incidents, victim support, scams and public-safety careers. We do not reproduce live scanner traffic, publish arrest accusations, maintain missing-person notices or offer real-time emergency alerts.

Official-source standard

Changing details—phone numbers, forms, eligibility rules, office hours and procedures—remain with the government agency or established service responsible for them. We link visitors to those sources and include review dates, but readers should verify current instructions before acting.

Independence and ownership

MetroPD.org is not affiliated with or endorsed by any police department, emergency service or government entity. It is a division of The Washington Tribune® Company Inc. Questions may be sent to info@washingtontribune.com.

What we never collect

MetroPD.org does not accept police reports, emergency requests, evidence, witness statements, identification documents or crime tips. Use the official agency responsible for your location and situation.
